We had told you guys recently that this year’s The Strangers: Prey at Night would be streaming on Amazon Prime in time for Halloween, but what we didn’t know at the time is that Amazon would be adding both the Theatrical and Unrated cuts of the film to their library. What we’re trying to say is, you can stream the sequel’s Unrated cut on Prime right now!
The differences between the two cuts aren’t exactly significant, but the Unrated version is indeed bloodier than what we saw in theaters. As Movie-Censorship.com points out and highlights, there are four scenes in the Unrated cut with alternate material, and they mostly come in the form of extra bits of blood spillage that were slightly edited out by the MPAA.
Most notably, the cop getting his throat slit (above) is WAY bloodier in the Unrated cut.
