Thanks to our friend Rob Galluzzo, the director of the documentary The Psycho Legacy, we’ve learned today that a Deluxe Edition “Legacy Collection” release of all things Psycho is headed to Germany early next year, which notably includes the fully uncut version of Alfred Hitchcock’s horror masterpiece that has to date *never* been released on home video.
Coming from Turbine Media Group, the German release includes all four of the Psycho movies, as well as 1998 remake and the original “Bates Motel” television movie. The set will also include Galluzzo’s The Psycho Legacy, which covers the entire Psycho franchise.
As far as the uncut version of Psycho is concerned, it’s home to minor bits of footage (seen below) that were cut from the film; this version has aired on TV in Germany in the past.
The set will be released in Germany on January 31st, 2019.
