[Black Friday 2018] VUDU Offering Digital Bundle of Original “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” Episodes for $9.99!

We’ve been keeping tabs on the best horror deals for Black Friday this year, and one of the coolest of them all was just brought to our attention. This week, streaming service VUDU is offering up a big bundle of “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” episodes at a *seriously* discounted price, slashing the price on their 10 volume bundle from $129 down to just $9.99!

What exactly does the bundle contain? Well, VUDU breaks the series down into volumes rather than seasons, and it looks like you get a total of 65 episodes across those 10 volumes. There actually were exactly 65 episodes in the *original* run, with 26 additional episodes coming along for the revival; the bundle, it seems, contains every episode from that original run.

And yes, the digital bundle costs just $9.99 not to rent, but to OWN!

This classic ’90s anthology series (1990-1996) offers spine-tingling stories inspired by the classic art of storytelling. Each half-hour begins with a group of kids, known as “The Midnight Society” who gather around a campfire to tell scary stories. These timeless tales provide suspense and real dramatic tension without resorting to violence, blood and gore.

Thanks to @Movies4Brandon for the heads up on this one!

When best friends Glen (Stephen Dorff) and Terry (Louis Tripp) stumble across a mysterious crystalline rock in Glen’s backyard, they quickly dig up the newly sodden lawn searching for more precious stones. The teenagers soon understand what evil they’ve released as they are overcome with an assortment of horrific experiences. With fiendish followers invading suburbia, it’s now up to the kids to discover the secret that can lock The Gate forever . . . if it’s not too late.

If you’ve never seen The Gate, it’s now streaming on Prime Video and Tubi.
