Blue Underground Working On 4K Restorations of ‘Two Evil Eyes’ and ‘The New York Ripper’

Fresh off releasing brand new 4K restorations of both Maniac and Zombie on Blu-ray, home video label Blue Underground‘s founder William Lustig has just teased two other upcoming titles in a chat with Discussions Magazine: Two Evil Eyes (above) and The New York Ripper!

Both films, he says, are receiving 4K restorations.

Released in 1990, Two Evil Eyes was a collaboration between co-directors Dario Argento and George A. Romero, made up of two tales based on the works of Edgar Allan Poe. “A greedy wife kills her husband, but not completely. A sleazy reporter adopts a strange black cat.”

The New York Ripper was directed by Lucio Fulci, a giallo released in 1982. In it, “A burned-out New York police detective teams up with a college psychoanalyst to track down a vicious serial killer randomly stalking and killing various young women around the city.”
