‘Doom: Annihilation’ Teases a Return to the First Person POV [Video]

One of the coolest moments in the Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson starring Doom adaptation was the first person sequence, which dropped viewers right in the middle of the demonic chaos. Now, a second trailer has been released for Universal 1440 Entertainment’s Doom: Annihilation, a brand new, direct-to-video adaptation of the Doom video game franchise, which also appears to put the viewers in the shoes of the protagonist. There’s also a ton of new demonic goodness!

In the film, “On the darkest moon of Mars, scientists have found an ancient portal which allows teleportation throughout the universe. Considered to be mankind’s greatest discovery, it’s actually a gateway from hell, unleashing a swarm of demons looking to steal the souls of everyone who gets in their way. It’s up to Lieutenant Joan Dark and an elite unit of Marines to destroy an ever-growing horde of bloodsucking and soul-stealing beasts and prevent them from taking over planet earth.”

Doom: Annihilation was written and directed by Tony Giglio (S.W.A.T.: Under Siege), and stars Amy MansonDominic Mafham, Luke Allen-Gale and Nina Bergman.

The gates of Hell open once again on October 1st.
