Cinedigm Sets Dates for ‘Gothic Harvest’ and ‘Karma’ [Exclusive]

Published

Cinedigm offers Bloody Disgusting exclusive first details on a pair of new horror films releasing this fall.

The first is Gothic Harvest, arriving on VOD and Digital October 15, 2019, with a DVD release to follow on November 5.

Written by Chris Kobin (2001 Maniacs), the film reunites horror icons Lin Shaye (Insidious, Ouija) and Bill Moseley (House of 1,000 Corpses, The Devil’s Rejects, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2), who previously starred together in Kobin’s 2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams.

Gothic Harvest tells the tale of four co-eds who head to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. When one of them disappears after connecting with a charming local, her friends race to find her before she falls victim to a sadistic Southern family plagued by a centuries-old voodoo curse.

Rounding out the cast are Ashley Hamilton (Beethoven’s 2nd, Iron Man 3), also making his directorial debut; Abbie Gayle (Jack Reacher: Never Go Back); Carol Sutton (Ray); Ashton Leigh (“Ambitions”); Thomas Francis Murphy (Jeepers Creepers III); Tanyell Waivers (Ma); and rising star Sofia Mattsson (“General Hospital”).

Cinedigm has announced that it will release horror picture Karma on demand, Digital, and DVD on October 1, 2019.

Directed by Nick Simon (The Girl in the Photographs, Truth or Dare) and written/produced by the team behind the I Spit on Your Grave franchise, the film debuted on SyFy Network as part of their 10th annual “31 Days of Halloween” programming last fall.

In the film, a young college grad has trouble making ends meet and accepts a job evicting delinquent tenants. As a result, he soon finds himself at odds with a karma demon who stalks him at every turn.

Co-starring are Mandela Van Peebles (Jigsaw), Brytni Sarpy (Truth or Dare), Kanoa Goo (A Letter to Momo), and Tim Russ (Spaceballs).

Here’s the art for both.
