A whole new wave of classic films are being restored for home video release by Studiocanal next year, and Deadline brings us a peek at the company’s 2020 lineup this week.
Deadline notes, “The library titles will get home entertainment releases in multiple Studiocanal territories and some will have theatrical play.” The lineup includes:
- Breathless
- Basic Instinct
- Dead of Night
- The Elephant Man
- Flash Gordon
- Irreversible
- The Ladykillers
- Lo Sceicco Blanco
- The Red Circle
- Serpico
- The Three Days of the Condor
- Total Recall (1990)
The version of Irreversible being released by Studiocanal next year is Gaspar Noe’s new “Straight Cut,” which premiered at the Venice Film Festival earlier this year. The “Straight Cut” re-cuts the film in chronological order, chopping five minutes off the runtime in the process. According to Noe, the “Straight Cut” is “another film” entirely.
