‘Terminator: Dark Fate’ Heads Home in January With Deleted and Extended Scenes

Arnold Schwarzenegger stars in Skydance Productions and Paramount Pictures' "TERMINATOR: DARK FATE."

Tim Miller’s Terminator: Dark Fate may have admirably course-corrected the franchise, bringing both Linda Hamilton‘s Sarah Connor and a clear narrative back to the long-running saga, but the franchise’s future fate is very much hanging in the balance after it failed to make much of a mark at the box office. In any event, the film heads home at the start of 2020.

The James Cameron-produced Terminator: Dark Fate will first be available digitally on January 14, 2020, followed by a Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD release on January 28, 2020.

Over an hour of bonus features include:

  • “A Legend Reforged” featurette
  • “World Builders” featurette
  • “Dam Busters: The Final Showdown” featurette
  • “VFX Breakdown: The Dragonfly”
  • Deleted and extended scenes

The digital release will include two more featurettes and previsualization sequences, as well as an exclusive audio commentary track with Tim Miller and editor Julian Clarke.

Terminator: Dark Fate takes place decades after Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) prevented Judgment Day. A lethal new Terminator is sent to eliminate the future leader of the resistance. In a fight to save mankind, battle-hardened Sarah teams up with an unexpected ally (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and an enhanced super soldier to stop the deadliest Terminator yet.
