Incredibly Violent Trailer for ‘The Witch: Subversion’ [Exclusive]

Published

on

Completely under the radar, one of the best films to play at the 2018 Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal was The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion, which was then acquired by Well Go USA for release here in the States under the simpler title The Witch: Subversion.

As the original title eludes to, this is the first chapter in a planned series of films, and it’s excellent. In the film, a young girl lives with her adoptive parents after they found her alone in the woods and near death. When strange people start appearing in the young girl’s life, she falls into turmoil as her seemingly ordinary life turns upside down in a blink of an eye. It features some of the best fights scenes in recent years and it’s also insanely bloody.

Directed by Park Hoon-jung (I Saw The Devil screenplay, New World), The Witch features an award-winning breakout performance by newcomer Kim Da-mi and co-stars Choi Woo-shik (Parasite, Train to Busan).

Well Go USA Entertainment will release the action-packed ultra-violent thriller on VOD, Blu-ray and DVD March 10, 2020, and Bloody Disgusting has an exclusive first look at the trailer. This one is a must-see.
