One of John Squires’ top 15 favorite horror movies of 2019 was Tony D’Aquino‘s The Furies, an ultra gory throwback slasher that’s making its way to VOD, Digital HD, DVD and Blu-ray on March 3rd via RLJE Films.

D’Aquino’s goal with the film was to capture the look and feel of the uncompromising horror films of the ‘80s. In creating the eight different killers the women do bloody battle with, the team drew inspiration from classic ‘70s and ‘80s slasher films, including Halloween, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday the 13th, The Burning, and A Nightmare on Elm Street.
