‘Deeper You Dig’ Seeks the Truth Behind a Daughter’s Death [Trailer]
Love won’t stay buried…
Set for a digital/VOD release on June 5th via Dark Sky Films is the dreamy DIY supernatural thriller The Deeper You Dig, which the fest reveals was a family affair – the movie was written, directed, and produced by John Adams, Toby Poser, and their daughter, Zelda. They also star, shoot, and compose the film’s score!
In the film, the line between the living and the dead collapses for a mother, daughter, and stranger in the aftermath of a roadside accident.
“The intimacy of the production is felt in the immediacy of the performances and the depth of ideas,” writes the fest’s guide. “This journey into the underworld crawls under your skin and draws you into your deepest, darkest nightmares.”
This indie had its World Premiere at the Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal last July.

When best friends Glen (Stephen Dorff) and Terry (Louis Tripp) stumble across a mysterious crystalline rock in Glen’s backyard, they quickly dig up the newly sodden lawn searching for more precious stones. Instead, they unearth The Gate — an underground chamber of terrifying demonic evil. The teenagers soon understand what evil they’ve released as they are overcome with an assortment of horrific experiences. With fiendish followers invading suburbia, it’s now up to the kids to discover the secret that can lock The Gate forever . . . if it’s not too late.
If you’ve never seen The Gate, it’s now streaming on Prime Video and Tubi.
