Celebrate 40 Years of ‘Friday the 13th Part II’ With a Brand New Steelbook Blu-ray in March

Much like the original Friday the 13th, which celebrated its 40 year anniversary last year, Steve Miner’s Friday the 13th Part 2 is also getting its own anniversary Steelbook release.

The 1981 slasher sequel comes to 40th anniversary Steelbook Blu-ray on March 23.

“Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of one of horror’s greatest sequels with this limited edition Steelbook. Five years after the massacre at Camp Crystal Lake, the nerve-wracking legend of Jason Voorhees and his diabolical mother lives on. Despite ominous warnings from the locals to stay away from ‘Camp Blood,’ a group of counselors at a nearby summer camp decide to explore the area where seven people were brutally slaughtered. All too soon, they encounter horrors of their own and the murders begins again.”

The Limited Edition Blu-ray + Digital offering includes previously released bonus features, and the only thing new about the release is the Steelbook case. Here’s what you’re getting:

  • Inside “Crystal Lake Memories”
  • Friday’s Legacy: Horror Conventions
  • Lost Tales from Camp Blood – Part II
  • Jason Forever
  • Original Theatrical Trailer

Not included are the uncut gore scenes, only available in Scream Factory’s franchise set.
