Severin Films is releasing 1974’s Blood for Dracula later this month, and now Vinegar Syndrome has announced that they’re working on a new release of Flesh for Frankenstein.

Flesh for Frankenstein, released in 1973, was made by writer/director Paul Morrissey and star Udo Kier prior to their re-teaming on Blood for Dracula, the companion films released in the United States under the titles Andy Warhol’s Dracula and Andy Warhol’s Frankenstein.

Vinegar Syndrome’s Justin LaLiberty announced, “We are releasing Flesh for Frankenstein in Real 3D and 4K UHD, newly scanned in 4K from the original, 35mm over-under, Stereoscopic camera negative which is being restored by the 3-D Film Archive and looks absolutely stunning. Stay tuned!” Vinegar’s Brad Henderson adds, “It will be [released] later this year.”

Check out a sneak-peek below…

In Flesh for Frankenstein, “Baron Frankenstein (Udo Kier) creates two “zombies” – one male, one female – planning to mate them in order to create a master race.”

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.
