‘The Lost Boys’ Getting an Ultimate Collector’s Edition 4K Ultra HD Steelbook Release

Published

on

Joel Schumacher’s vampire classic The Lost Boys is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, and it looks like an “Ultimate Collector’s Edition” 4K Ultra HD upgrade is on the way!

According to an Amazon listing, The Lost Boys is coming to Collector’s Edition Steelbook 4K Ultra HD on October 31 in the UK, but the 4K disc will be Region Free for all to enjoy.

What about a 4K release here in the United States, you ask? We’re not aware of anything being announced at this time, but there’s a good chance a similar release is coming soon.

Stay tuned for more as we learn it.

Joel Schumacher directed the original The Lost Boys movie in 1987, wherein two brothers move to a new town and discover that the area is a haven for vampires.

The classic movie introduced Corey Feldman, Corey Haim and Jamison Newlander as the vampire-slaying Frog Brothers, who later returned in two direct-to-video sequels.

Last we heard, The Lost Boys is getting a new feature film real soon!

With fiendish followers invading suburbia, it’s now up to the kids to discover the secret that can lock The Gate forever . . . if it’s not too late.
