Frankenhooker will be released on 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray on April 7 via Synapse Films. Limited to 5,000, it costs $49.95.
The 1990 horror comedy is directed by Frank Henenlotter (Basket Case, Brain Damage) from a script he co-wrote with Robert Martin (Basket Case 3).
It has been newly restored in 4K from the uncut original 35mm vault materials with Dolby Vision and a newly remastered 5.1 surround sound mix. The original 2.0 audio mix also included.

When Jeffrey Franken’s fiancée is chopped to pieces by the blades of a remote-controlled lawnmower, he uses his dubious medical knowledge to try to bring her back to life. Using his home-made explosive “super crack” to entice beautiful New York City prostitutes, Jeffrey resurrects his beloved Elizabeth using their assorted body parts. Unfortunately for him, Elizabeth’s brain is scrambled and she runs amok on 42nd Street, turning tricks and bringing high-voltage death to her customers.
