Despite being announced more than a year after its competitors, Behaviour Interactive’s asymmetrical multiplayer stab ’em up Dead by Daylight will be the first to arrive, on June 14 for $19.99 on Steam. The game pits a team of four survivors against one of several different killers, each with their own unique abilities, such as laying bear traps, and a shared gift that lets them “see sounds” in the environment.
Dead by Daylight is played from the third-person perspective for survivors, or first-person for the killers — to help them focus on all the murder — and features procedurally generated environments, so no two matches are ever the same.
The $29.99 Deluxe Edition comes with a 10% discount on your pre-order, plus the option to get another 10% off for owners of Payday 2, an original soundtrack, digital art book, three access keys for the game’s upcoming beta and two masks for Payday 2.
