Fox Wants You to Know How Violent ‘Logan’ is Going to be…

LOGAN

Twentieth Century Fox wants you to forget all about the previous Wolverine films and celebrate that Logan will be rated “R”.

The film was officially given the rating for “strong brutal violence and language throughout, and for brief nudity.” Brief nudity will clearly be a shot of Hugh Jackman’s ass.

While Jackman is a fantastic Logan/Wolverine, the character rarely shed his claws in the several X-Men films. Now, he’s been given free reign to destroy all; but this time he’ll be doing it with the infamous X-23, who is clearly going to rip people to shreds.

Empire has some new images that are helping cement the film’s violence, which was highlighted in the newest trailer. Still, as bloody as film appears, I’m still praying to see a battle damaged Logan that always made for my favorite comic moments.

Set in the future of 2024, Logan and Professor Charles Xavier must cope with the loss of the X-Men when a corporation lead by Nathaniel Essex is destroying the world leaving it to destruction, with Logan’s healing abilities slowly fading away and Xavier’s Alzheimer’s forcing him to forget. Logan must defeat Nathaniel Essex with the help of a young girl named Laura Kinney, a female clone of Wolverine.

In theaters March 3, 2017 (happy birthday to me, indeed!), Logan stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Stephen Merchant, Eriq La Salle, Elise Neal, and Elizabeth Rodriguez.
