We’re celebrating 65 years of Godzilla this year, and of course, a huge part of that celebration is this month’s release of the Michael Dougherty-directed Godzilla: King of the Monsters, the sequel to the 2014 film that kicked off Legendary’s MonsterVerse. The Big G has changed a whole lot over the years, and this fantastic size chart serves as a reminder of that evolution.
Artist Noger Chen put together this epic size chart in advance of King of the Monsters, putting every single live-action Godzilla (from 1954-2019) side by side, in order of height.
Godzilla measured just 50m tall when he first debuted on the scene, and here in 2019, he’s grown to a staggering 119.8m – the largest Godzilla, in front of Shin Godzilla, ever on screen!
