‘The Well’ International Trailer Will Dry Up
Thanks to Fabien M. we have the international trailer for Tom Hammock’s post-apocalyptic thriller, The Well, which premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival this past June.
“At the edge of an expansive barren valley, all that remains of The Wallace Farm for Wayward Youth is a few hollowed-out husks of buildings. Seventeen-year-old Kendal (Haley Lu Richardson) can barely recall when the Oregon valley was still lush. It’s been a decade since the last rainfall, and society at large has dried up and blown away. Kendal and the few others that remain barely scrape by, while dreaming of escape. When a greedy water baron lays claim to what little of the precious resource remains underground, Kendal must decide whether to run and hide or bravely fight for the few cherished people and things she has left.”
The Well, to be released by Dark Sky Films, stars Haley Lu Richardson in a breakout role as a young woman with grit, smarts, and an incredible will to survive.
Additional cast includes: Booboo Stewart (Twilight), Jon Gries (Taken), Nicole Fox (America’s Next Top Model winner), Michael McCartney (The Amazing Spider-Man), Michael Welch (Twilight), Rena Owen, Max Charles (The Amazing Spider-Man), Jacqueline Emerson (The Hunger Games), Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator), and Michael Massee (Seven).
Kaleidoscope Film Distribution is currently selling the title for international distribution and Kaleidoscope Home Entertainment will be releasing in the UK in late Spring 2015.
After releasing in theaters last month, NEON announced today that horror romance Leviticus will arrive on digital platforms to rent or own beginning July 28, followed by a Blu-ray/4K Ultra HD Combo and DVD release on September 8, 2026.
Leviticus marks the feature debut by writer/director Adrian Chiarella.
Joe Bird (Talk to Me) and Stacy Clausen play star-crossed teenage boys who must escape a violent entity that takes the form of the person they desire most — each other.
Mia Wasikowska (Crimson Peak), Jeremy Blewitt, Ewen Leslie (The Nightingale), and Davida McKenzie (Silent Night) round out the cast of horror movie Leviticus.
“Leviticus is a strong debut with an incisive voice at the helm,” I wrote in my review out of Sundance. “We care deeply about Naim and Ryan’s survival, making Leviticus a tense, atmospheric, and claustrophobic vision of young love in a hateful world.”

The physical media release comes packed with exclusive bonus features, the home entertainment release includes a feature commentary with Adrian Chiarella, interviews with Chiarella, Stacy Clausen, and Joe Bird, an exclusive behind-the-scenes featurette, and the official trailer.
