Osgood Perkins, son of legendary Psycho actor Anthony Perkins, has quietly been making a name for himself as a writer.

Until the World Premiere of his Satanic horror February, which I called a masterpiece in my review, I had never heard his name. Now he’s on my radar as one of the best up-and-coming filmmakers.

Just days after February was acquired by A24/DirecTV, Deadline receives word that Perkins will write and direct I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House.

In the film, “A young nurse (Lily) is hired to caretake an elderly best-selling author of ghost stories as she lives out her final days in her beloved country home. The only problem is that the home is host to a horrific ghost story of its own.

Paris’ Paris Film, Inc. will produce and co-finance through the recently announced venture with Robert Menzies’s Ottawa-based production shingle Zed Filmworks, and Canadian real estate developer Alphonse Ghossein’s Go Insane Films.

Casting is under way now to bring the project before the cameras in Spring 2016.
