Channeling Hellraiser and A Nightmare On Elm Street comes Bed of the Dead, from the minds behind Bite.
In the film, which is set to screen at the upcoming Fantasia Film Festival, “Four twentysomethings find themselves stuck on a haunted antique bed where leaving means suffering a gruesome death. Plagued with frightening hallucinations, they must figure out the bed’s secrets before they are ultimately picked off one by one.”
Patrick Cooper caught the premiere at Fantasia, and wrote in his review:
“The monster under the bed will always be scary and here it’s the entire bed that’s the monster. What a simple, but oh so rad concept.
“You can’t nitpick with a movie like Bed of the Dead, man, it saps all the fun out of it. And Bed of the Dead is one helluva good time.”
Bed of the Dead was written and directed by Jeff Maher and produced by Black Fawn Films in association with Breakthrough Entertainment. Colin Price, Alysa King, and Gwen Cumyn star.
