Spotlight Pictures has acquired international sales rights for the female psycho thriller, The Hive, Bloody Disgusting learned while also obtaining the first photo.
Written and directed by Jeff Kopas, The Hive stars Shenae Grimes-Beech from TV’s “90210”, alongside Kenneth Mitchell, Don Mckeller, and Gil Bellows.
“The Hive follows an estranged woman (Grimes-Beech) who returns to her family’s fly-in hunting lodge after a decade in order to assist her siblings with their dying father, only to find herself caught in a terrifying nightmare.”
“Director Jeff Kopas channels Roman Polanski in this riveting female psycho thriller,” said Carlos Rincon, Head of Acquisitions at Spotlight Pictures.
The Hive is produced by Jeff Kopas, Ryan Reaney, and Robert Budreau with executive producers Marina Cordoni and Doug Taylor, who also co-wrote. The film is in the final stages of post-production and is set to screen for buyers at AFM.
