IFC acquired the Alpine Labs and Tony E. Valenzuela’s psychological thriller The Axe Murders of Villisca hot off the success of the film’s LA Film Festival premiere and will release on January 20, 2017.
Bloody Disgusting has an exclusive clip from the film that takes viewers to a haunted house in Iowa where three teens decide to break in and spend the night at the house, forever changing who they are and what is known about the original murders.
The Axe Murders of Villisca focuses on the paranormal repercussions of what many consider to be the most horrifying unsolved murders in the United States. Now used as a tourist destination, the Villisca Axe Murder House has terrified visitors from around the world and is considered one of the most haunted houses in America.
