Hailing out of Switzerland, we have first word and imagery from Lisa Brühlmann‘s fantasy genre film Blue My Mind.
The film follows a 15-year-old Mia who is facing an overwhelming transformation which calls her entire existence into question. Her body is changing radically, and despite desperate attempts to halt the process, she is soon forced to accept that nature is far more powerful than her.
It sounds as if the film, starring Luna Wedler, Zoë Pastelle Holthuizen, and Nicola Perot, is a coming-of-age body horror tale that may or may not dip into Lovecraftian territory. There’s tremendous buzz behind this title so watch for it on the festival circuit soon.
