Today we have a sensitive, beautifully shot and thought-provoking short horror film from Kris Kevrelis. A young man finds a secret hiding place to conduct a ritual. Not much is explained as to why he is there, nor does there need to be, but it is suggested there is something paranormal at play.
In a short space of time, Kevrelis manages to delve you into a sinister world using clever camera angles and natural sounds, working together harmoniously to build the tension. I particularly liked the softness of sound and color used throughout the film; simplistic and effective. Well worth a watch and I would love to see more from this director, if only to explain what may be happening before and after this short film takes place.
Don’t expect to feel uplifted after this one ends!
