Video Interview: Danny Trejo and Robert Rodriguez on ‘Machete’
We’ve just posted out first of two exclusive video interviews with the cast and crew of Machete, Fox’s violent action thriller arriving in theaters everywhere this Friday. In the first video, Bloody Disgusting Chris Eggertsen sits down with director Robert Rodriguez and star Danny Trejo as they joke about Trejo having a knife in every movie, and go into detail about how they had to write/film the feature backwards to compliment the faux trailer in Grindhouse. Trejo also talks about how special it feels to be the “Mexican James Bond”, as Chris would call him. Watch for our interview with Michelle Rodriguez and Jessica Alba tomorrow.
Spider One (Bury the Bride, Little Bites) is back in the director’s chair for this year’s Big Baby, a meta slasher that sees Brandon Scott (Dead to Me) puppeteering slasher kills in our exclusive teaser debut.
Brainstorm Media will release the film on VOD on August 7, 2026.
In the upcoming slasher, “A nightmare involving a maniac killer in a baby mask serves as inspiration for horror screenwriter Adam Lewis’s new script. As more nightmares, visions, and real life terror begin to challenge Adam’s sanity, he finds himself in a desperate struggle to control his writing, his reality, and who will be Big Baby’s next victim.”
