Sarah Ann, Bassist Of Conquer Divide, Turned Me Into A Zombie (Interview)
A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of inviting Sarah Ann, bassist of alt-metal band Conquer Divide, into my home for an exclusive interview. I was joined by my friend David McDonald of sports and entertainment website The Pit and together we were both turned from our everyday normal selves into the living dead as Sarah applied her makeup and practical FX work on us.
Once this process was complete, we sat Sarah down and dove into the world of Conquer Divide, who were recently signed to Artery Recordings. The band is currently working on completing their debut album alongside renowned producer Joey Sturgis (Asking Alexandria, We Came As Romans, Of Mice And Men) and will be playing the South By So What festival in Texas in March. We’re exclusively unveiling the new trailer and key art for the real-time nightmare below, ahead of the film’s release in select theaters and VOD on August 21.
Adam O’Brien (Mom) directs from a script by John Petrizzi and Brad Hodson.
When nurse Julia finds herself trapped inside the home of her dementia patient, she begins to suspect things are not what they seem; something demonic is seeping through the cracks of this old home. Trapped and with nowhere to turn, Julia soon finds herself in battle to rid the house of this evil before it is too late.
Dawn Ford, Emmanuelle Lussier Martinez, Bill Rowat, and Mark Antony Krupa star.
“This film depicts the most harrowing 90 minutes of our protagonist’s life, and I felt that the most visceral way to really feel this was to do a single-shot film,” O’Brien previously teased. “We are with her every step and misstep she takes – through the unraveling of the mystery to the horror of her discovery. It’s a fun, twisty roller-coaster ride that puts a new spin on exorcisms.”
Bury the Devil is the first installment in a planned trilogy. The prequel, Bury the Devil: Origin, is already in development with O’Brien returning to the helm.
O’Brien produces along with Philip Kalin-Hajdu (The Sacrifice Game) and Benoit Beaulieu (Turbo Kid).
