You Haven’t Seen ‘Baskin’ Yet, But You Can Still Buy the Toys!

BASKIN | via IFC Midnight

Even before IFC releases Can Evrenol’s Baskin, Goodleg Toys will be releasing an extremely limited edition set of action figures.

After Manborg, BIO-COP, Troma Entertainment’s Surf Nazis Must Die, Fist of Jesus, ABCs of Death 2, and Turbo Kid, Baskin is going to be their 7th official movie action figure resin release.

The first wave of figures features ARDA THE COP, THE MASTER CREEP and THE FATHER. The figures are 100% hand made, and limited to just 15 pieces each. Priced at $65 for a single piece, and $165 for a full set of 3, they will touch down in their store on January 6th, 6.66pm GMT+1, Berlin time (That’s 6 minutes past 7pm, to be precise).

The Turkish horror film Baskin, which premiered at TIFF’s Midnight Madness, opened in Turkey and Germany on January 1st – uncut!

You can read my review, where I write, “It’s so shocking (at times) and so astoundingly well made that, if anything, I think it puts an exclamation stamp next to Can Evrenol’s name as one of the futures of horror.

Baskin, based on the short of the same name, sends a squad of unsuspecting cops through a trapdoor to Hell when they stumble upon a Black Mass in an abandoned building. It was included in our list of 10 must-see films from 2015.
