The trailer for Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters was certainly very polarizing, with people seemingly either loving it or hating it and a very, very small portion of the population falling in between those emotions. Personally, I think it looks fun. I realize that it’s a different type of movie than the first two and I’m not expecting anything even remotely close to what those offered. Plus, Kate McKinnon’s character “Holtzman” looks incredibly charming and exciting. She’s probably the reason the trailer won me over!
But as I said, some people aren’t as pleased with the look of this new film. In fact, the uproar and vitriol spewed its way is almost rather shocking. As of this post, the official trailer has 192k upvotes and over 450k downvotes on its YouTube page. I won’t get into why I think this is happening because there are way too many facets and theories to go over, so instead I’m going to present something far more lighthearted!
Below is a reaction video created by Darren Wallace. But what makes this reaction video so special is that it’s the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from the first film reacting to the trailer! Stay Puft definitely goes through a range of emotions while watching the trailer, probably the same as many of you did. However, he caps the viewing with a slightly over-the-top reaction that then brings in two other Ghostbusters favorites for a little cameo.
