It’s been a minute since we’ve seen Mel Gibson on the big screen, which is kind of a shame. I know he’s gone through a great deal of personal struggles over the past several years that have made him less than popular to a large population of movie watchers. However, I can’t deny that the man is a great actor and a great storyteller and I personally love watching him act.
That’s why I’m really hyped up for Jean-François Richet’s Blood Father, which stars Gibson as a pissed off tattoo artist who’s looking for his daughter who herself has shacked up with the wrong crowd. This movie seems to take the villainous streak Gibson has been portraying lately in films like The Expendables 3 and Machete Kills and embraced it, giving him a very anti-hero personality.

The film also stars stars William H. Macy, Diego Luna, Erin Moriarty, Elisabeth Röhm and Michael Parks. It will be released in the UK on August 25th.
