Tim Burton-Inspired ‘Beetlejuice’ Bar/Restaurant Haunts New York City

Cue up another reason for me to come visit New York…

Allow me to introduce you to Beetle House, a brand new bar/restaurant in New York City’s East Village. What makes Beetle House so special, you ask? Oh, just the fact that all the food and drinks on their menu are inspired by the movies of Tim Burton! Films like Sleepy Hollow, Alice in Wonderland, and obviously Beetlejuice get love in the titles of the various offerings, all of which can be seen on their website.

For example, there’s the “Beetlejuice” cocktail, which includes, “Muddled blackberry and limes, Tequila, Blackberry schnapps, Angostura bitters, splash of cranberry.” Apart from the tequila, that sounds absolutely delicious. Or how about the “This is Halloween!”, which mixes “pumpkin Liqueur, cinnamon liqueur, apple liqueur, apple cider, ginger beer, garnished with a lime.” That is RIGHT up my alley.

When it comes to food, You can snag yourself the “Edward Burger Hands”, which sounds INCREDIBLE and includes, “organic ground bison, organic smoked bacon, pepper jack, quail egg, sriracha cream, avocado tomato, honey garlic bun.” Or, you can pay homage to Beetlejuice and get yourself the “Beetle House Fish Bowl”, which almost sounds like the meal from the movie that everyone sang “Day Oh!” around: “Creole style Shrimp, scallop clam and white fish, cooked in a spicy slightly sweet red broth served over rice with sautéed veggies and corn bread.”

Mmmm…. I’m thinking it’s time for a lunch break.
