Sony Pictures has closed a deal to acquire an untitled microbudget adult thriller based on a pitch from scribe Lori Evans Taylor, Deadline reports.
Reminding me of the Michael Keaton thriller Pacific Heights, the plot revolves around a couple who rent out their home to a woman who begins to invade their lives.
Taylor will pen the script; her first screenplay, the Hitchcockian thriller Bed Rest, landed at MGM last year with Karen Rosenfelt and Chris Sparling producing. Brad Parker is attached to direct that one, says the site.
Akiva Goldsman is aboard to produce, and Weed Road president of production Greg Lessans will oversee.
