A trailer for the South Korean thriller Goksung (aka The Wailing) has been released and can be seen below. Directed by Hong-jin Na (Chaser, The Yellow Sea), the film stars Jun Kunimura (Kill Bill, Audition), Jeong-min Hwang (The Unjust), and Woo-hee Chun (Mother, “Vampire Idol”).
“A stranger arrives in a little village and soon after a mysterious sickness starts spreading. A policeman is drawn into the incident and is forced to solve the mystery in order to save his daughter.”
Our own Pat Torfe says that The Wailing “…oozes tension with atmosphere and dread” in his review.
The film comes out this Friday, June 3rd.
