In 2011, Joe Cornish brought the world to a new breed of sci-fi/horror comedy in the form of the wickedly entertaining and absolutely charming Attack the Block, a movie that introduced the world to the now beloved John Boyega (The Force Awakens). The movie won critical acclaim and multiple awards throughout various festivals and was considered by many to be one of the best of the year.
Now it appears that Boyega is keen on working once again with the writer/director, saying that the two are “brainstorming“, although no other specifics have been given.
Fans shouldn’t hope for or expect a sequel to Attack the Block however as Boyega adds that the two are working on “something new”.
Boyega was recently confirmed to appear in Pacific Rim 2 where he’ll be playing the son of Idris Elba. You can read all about that here.
