There are Things Lurking in the Dark in ‘Cell’ (Clip)

A new clip from the Stephen King book-to-film adaptation of Cell (review) has been released and can be seen below. The scene shows John Cusack and Isabelle Fuhrman resting in a bar at night when Cusack wakes up and sees someone standing idly by. He decides to investigate but things don’t turn out the way he probably hoped.

When a powerful signal is broadcast across mobile networks worldwide, cell phone users’ minds are instantly and dangerously re-programmed. Heading north through New England in search of his wife and son, Clay Riddell (Cusack) is joined by a group of survivors hoping to fend off the bloodthirsty and hyper-connected “phoners.”

Directed by Tod “Kip” Williams (Paranormal Activity 2) and Cusack (The Raven), Samuel L. Jackson (1408, Pulp Fiction), Stacy Keach (Sin City: A Dame To Kill For), and Fuhrman (Orphan), Cell was written by King with revisions by Adam Alleca.

The film hit “Ultra VOD” on June 10th and will be hitting theaters and VOD tomorrow, July 8th.
