The Events of ‘Halloween’ Really Happened…According to a Faux Documentary

The Halloween franchise is a strange one as it kinda goes all over the place, up to and including a film that has nothing to do with the core story, turning Michael Myers into an agent of a secret cult society, and having Michael face Busta Rhymes only to walk away. Yeah, shit got weird.

But while we know the franchise as an obvious fictional series, a faux documentary has decided to try and change that by acting as though the events that took place throughout the films actually happened.

Enter Rick Gawel’s Michael Myers: Absolute Evil, the fan made “documentary” that presents the story as though it’s nonfiction. By gathering “interviews” with experts, survivors, and Haddonfield residents, the documentary aims to bring the truth of the masked killer to the masses.

It’s clear that a lot of attention and care to detail was put into crafting this illusion, which acknowledges the presence and creation of the films themselves, a rather interesting way to connect the documentary with both the real and fantasy worlds.

If you’ve got 90 odd minutes to spare, the film is below for you to enjoy!
