Rev Up Your Chainsaw With a New ’31’ Poster
Yesterday, we posted a new poster for Rob Zombie’s upcoming horror film 31 (review) which showcasing Richard Brake’s “Doom-Head”. Today, we get a glimpse of a new character poster, this one for Lew Temple’s “Psycho-Head”, which has him holding a chainsaw and blood splattered across the image. You can see the poster down yonder.
31, which stars Sheri Moon Zombie (The Devil’s Rejects, Halloween), Golden Globe Nominee Malcolm McDowell (“Mozart in the Jungle,” A Clockwork Orange), Jeff Daniel Phillips (The Lords of Salem) and Meg Foster (The Lords of Salem), follows five carnival workers who are kidnapped and held hostage in an abandoned, Hell-like compound where they are forced to participate in a violent game, the goal of which is to survive twelve hours against a gang of sadistic clowns.
Zombie has been fighting to have this movie released to the public for a long time. He went through a strong crowdfunding campaign only to be hit twice with the dreaded NC-17 rating, which would’ve severely restricted the viewing potential. After some edits, it got dropped to an R-rating, but Zombie assures we’ll see an uncut version. The new edit still bears all the earmarks of a Rob Zombie film, as it features, “…strong bloody horror violence, pervasive language, sexual content and drug use.”
The film is going to be released on VOD platforms on September 16th and in limited theaters on October 21st via Saban Films.

Spanning four decades, A Man in the Woods With an Axe begins in the summer of 1987 before pushing into the modern era, weaving together timelines and perspectives in a way that builds both dread and intrigue.
Drawing inspiration from genre standouts like Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, Hatchet, and The Cabin in the Woods, the film blends visceral horror with moments of dark humor, creating a uniquely balanced experience that honors tradition while carving its own identity.
Writer-director Dillon Brown (Primal Darkness) aims to deliver everything fans crave from a slasher while boldly subverting expectations with a mid-film twist that redefines the story.
“This is an unapologetic love letter to the films that made me fall in love with horror,” Brown tells Bloody Disgusting. “But I didn’t just want to recreate that feeling; I wanted to challenge it. About halfway through, the film takes a turn that completely changes how you view not only this story, but the genre itself.”
Brown describes the vintage-inspired production as “far and away the bloodiest film I’ve ever made,” with practical effects helmed by Cody Ruch (The Mill, Pig Hill), an instructor at Tom Savini’s Special Make-Up Effects Program.
From Horror Dadz Productions, A Man in the Woods With an Axe is currently in production and targeting an early 2027 release.
