Beau Mirchoff (Scary Movie 4, The Grudge 3) has signed on to appear in the upcoming remake of the sci-fi horror/thriller Flatliners, according to THR. He will be playing a medical student in the film.
Mirchoff joins Charlotte McKinney, Ellen Page, Diego Luna, Nina Dobrev, James Norton, Kiersey Clemens and Kiefer Sutherland.
The original film follows a group of medical students who purposefully die and bring each other back to life so as to study “near death” experiences. It was released in 1990 and starred Sutherland, Kevin Bacon, Oliver Platt, and Julia Roberts.
The remake is being directed by Niels Arden Oplev (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo), written by Ben Ripley, and produced by Laurence Mark and Michael Douglas. It will hit theaters on August 18th, 2017.
