‘Resident Evil: The Final Chapter’ Trailer: Alice Returns Home…to Kill Them All
Sony Screen Gems has just fired off the explosive first trailer for Paul W.S. Anderson’s Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, which brings Alice (Milla Jovovich) back home to the tune pf Guns N’ Roses’ “Paradise City”.
Even though none of the movies are great, I love this franchise and am going to be sad to see it end (who are we kidding, they’ll get the remake off the ground in a few years). The finale looks jam-packed with awesome action choreography and massive set pieces, while also delivering some fan service that’s organic to the Resident Evil saga.
Oh yeah, they fixed the poster too! This one’s much nicer than the Hunger Games ripoff and also fits with the previous films’ one-sheets.
Ali Larter also returns as Claire Redfield, Iain Glen will return as Dr. Isaacs, with Shawn Roberts playing Albert Wesker once again. New additions also include Ruby Rose as Abigail, Eoin Macken (The Night Shift) as Doc, Cuban American actor William Levy as Christian, Fraser James (“Law & Order: UK”) as Michael, and Japanese model and TV personality, Rola, as Cobalt.
Picking up immediately after the events in Resident Evil: Retribution, Alice (Milla Jovovich) is the only survivor of what was meant to be humanity’s final stand against the undead. Now, she must return to where the nightmare began – The Hive in Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse.
Sony Screen Gems has Resident Evil: The Final Chapter slated for release on January 27, 2017.
