The ‘Arrival’ Trailer Carries Heavy ‘Close Encounters’ Vibe
Paramount is getting us excited for Arrival, a new sci-fi film that looks like if Ridley Scott had directed Close Encounters of the Third Kind and mixed it with The Day the Earth Stood Still.
Denis Villeneuve (Prisoners, Enemy, Sicario) is behind this majestic looking sci-fi thriller that stars Amy Adams, and Jeremy Renner, Forest Whitaker.
In it, “When mysterious spacecrafts touch down across the globe, an elite team – lead by expert linguist Louise Banks (Amy Adams) – is brought together to investigate. As mankind teeters on the verge of global war, Banks and the team race against time for answers – and to find them, she will take a chance that could threaten her life, and quite possibly humanity.”
In theatres November 11, 2016, here’s a teaser for the film’s trailer, which mysteriously lands on Aug. 16.
