Massive ‘Godzilla: Resurgence’ Trailer is Packed to the Brim With Spoilers

Published

on

For those of you who are devouring everything Godzilla: Resurgence related, a new trailer has been released but I have to warn you that it’s absolutely full of spoilers. I’m talking big fight scenes, character reveals, etc… My recommendation is to avoid it so as to enjoy the movie on its own merits.

Also, some new photos have been released that are even bigger spoilers for the film. I’ve put them all the way at the bottom so that you can’t say I didn’t try to keep them from prying eyes!

An unknown accident occurs in Tokyo Bay’s Aqua Line, which causes an emergency cabinet to assemble. All of the sudden, a giant creature immediately appears, destroying town after town with its landing reaching the capital. This mysterious giant monster is named “Godzilla”.

Co-directed by Hideaki Anno (Evangelion) and Shinji Higuchi (Attack on Titan) with a script by Anno, the cast includes Hiroki Hasegawa, Yutaka Takenouchi, Satomi Ishihara, Rando Yaguchi, and Ren Osugi.

FUNimation is bringing the film overseas with a rumored late-2016 limited theatrical release date.

Alright, you know there be spoilers ahead so if you read past here you’re doing this to yourself.

Dread Central landed some pretty amazing images that show off Godzilla’s second head. No, that’s not a penis joke. Instead, much like how D (a lá Vampire Hunter D) has a second face on his hand, it appears that Godzilla’s tail has a face of its own!

Additionally, we might be witness to a form of Godzilla never before seen, as evidenced by the photos below. Perhaps there are other Godzilla’s lurking in the depths of the ocean?

Dead Mail SXSW Dead Mail interview

One of the genre films we’re looking forward to checking out at SXSW this year is Dead Mail, written and directed by Joe DeBoer and Kyle McConaghy and premiering on March 9.

Meagan Navarro will be reviewing Dead Mail for Bloody Disgusting as part of her SXSW coverage, and she writes in her preview for the upcoming fest: “Dead Mail leans heavily into the ’80s analog aesthetic, delivering a unique crime thriller unafraid to get offbeat with its dark narrative. Expect its characters to be as atypical as Dead Mail‘s sense of style.”

In the SXSW 2024 horror film…

“On a desolate, Midwestern county road, a bound man crawls towards a remote postal box, managing to slide a blood-stained plea-for-help message into the slot before a panicking figure closes in behind him. The note makes its way to the county post office and onto the desk of Jasper, a seasoned and skilled “dead letter” investigator, responsible for investigating lost mail and returning it to its sender. As he investigates further, Jasper meets Trent, a strange yet unassuming man who has taken up residence at the men’s home where Jasper lives.

“When Trent unexpectedly shows up at Jasper’s office, it becomes clear he has a vested interest in the note, and will stop at nothing to retrieve it…”

Sterling Macer, Jr., John Fleck, Susan Priver, Micki Jackson, Tomas Boykin, and Nick Heyman star in Dead Mail. Preview the film with an exclusive image gallery below.
