‘Ouija: Origin of Evil’ TV Spot Explodes With More Insane Footage

I seriously cannot believe how cool Ouija: Origin of Evil looks, although I am a huge fan of director Mike Flanagan (Absentia, Oculus, Hush).

The trailer was already brimming with insanity, but now a new TV Spot has even more.

The film appears to take a lot of inspiration from James Wan’s movies like The Conjuring and Insidious, but also gives nods to classics such as The Exorcist.

CGI can be killer, but in a film about a haunted Ouija board I think it’s fair game, especially if the filmmakers can pull it off without it feeling cheesy.

Your thoughts?

The sequel takes place in 1965 Los Angeles where a widowed mother and her two daughters add a new stunt to bolster their séance scam business and unwittingly invite authentic evil into their home. The youngest daughter is overtaken by the merciless spirit, forcing this small family to confront unthinkable fears to save her and send her possessor back to the other side.

Annalise Basso, Parker Mack (Divergent), Sam Anderson, Kate Siegel (Oculus), Doug Jones (Hellboy), Elizabeth Reaser, Henry Thomas, and Lulu Wilson star in the film, which comes from Universal Pictures, Platinum Dunes, Blumhouse Productions and Hasbro.

Ouija opens on October 21, 2016.
