After having its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, André Øvredal’s thriller The Autopsy of Jane Doe (read our review) will be playing at this weekend’s Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas.
Starring Brian Cox (The Ring, Red), Emile Hirsch (The Darkest Hour, Killer Joe), and Ophelia Lovibond (Guardians of the Galaxy), “The Autopsy of Jane Doe follows two coroners – a father and son – who receive a mysterious homicide victim with no apparent cause of death. As they attempt to identify the beautiful young “Jane Doe,” they discover increasingly bizarre clues that hold the key to her terrifying secrets.”
Bloody Disgusting has an exclusive reveal of the film’s Fantastic Fest poster, on sale by Mondo, with news that Øvredal will be in attendance to sign the poster following the screening on September 23.
Øvredal is known to many for his fantastic faux-documentary Trollhunter.
The film will be distributed in theaters (probably meaning Los Angeles and New York) by IFC Midnight, who acquired the film earlier this year.
