Lionsgate will host a power-packed panel that will feature the stars and filmmakers from the highly anticipated feature films John Wick: Chapter 2 and Saban’s Power Rangers during New York Comic Con on Saturday, October 8. Fans attending the hour-long panel will be treated to Q&A sessions with the cast and producers of Saban’s Power Rangers and John Wick: Chapter 2, as well as exclusive, never-before-seen footage from both films.

Those who cannot attend will be able to watch the panel LIVE on Twitch.

Location: The Theater at Madison Square Garden
Date: Saturday, October 8
Time:2:00 PM

John Wick: Chapter 2 hits theaters February 10, 2017. Keanu Reeves returns, although he motivation this time around won’t be the murder of his dog given to him by his dead wife. It’ll be interesting to see what sets him off this time as no plot details have been revealed. With that said, paparazzi set photos depict him with a new dog – this one much bigger; could this have been subtitled “John Wick: A Dog’s Revenge”?

Update: We did get our hands on the first ever plot details, hurrah!

In this next chapter following the 2014 hit, legendary hitman John Wick [Keanu Reeves] is forced back out of retirement by a former associate plotting to seize control of a shadowy international assassins’ guild. Bound by a blood oath to help him, John travels to Rome where he squares off against some of the world’s deadliest killers.

Chad Stahelski directs from a screenplay by Derek Kolstad. Co-starring are Thomas Sadoski and Ruby Rose.

Paul Dano Joins Parker Finn’s ‘Possession’ Remake

Paul Dano in The Batman

Andrzej Żuławski’s 1981 psychological horror movie Possession is getting a remake from Smile writer/director Parker Finn, and Deadline reports that The Batman actor Paul Dano has joined the cast.

No word at this time on character details, though.

The original film starred Isabelle Adjani and Sam Neill as a married couple in Cold War-era West Berlin whose relationship spirals into a supernatural nightmare. In Finn’s update, Margaret Qualley and Callum Turner will star as the turbulent couple in Finn’s Possession, and Adjani has officially given her blessing on Qualley’s casting.

Parker Finn is writing and directing the new take on Possession.

He’s also producing alongside Jonathan Fass via Bad Feeling, along with Roy Lee and Andrew Childs via Vertigo, and Robert Pattinson. Marc Bienstock is serving as exec producer.

Our own Brian Keiper celebrated Possession‘s 40th anniversary here on BD back in 2021, writing: “Few movies depict emotional turmoil as effectively and daringly as Andrzej Zulawksi’s Possession. It is a challenging and sometimes inscrutable film, both for the mind and the emotions. Zulawski struggles through a number of deep issues throughout the course of the film; issues that speak to some of humanity’s deepest pains and fears. In many ways it is about loss— loss of political ideals, loss of faith, and loss of innocence. But most of all, Possession is about the fear, pain, and anger that comes from the loss of a marriage.”

This will mark Dano’s first horror role. The actor previously appeared in sci-fi hits Looper and Okja.
