Literally one week ago, we posted a story about Ryan Scott Miller, a father whose son, Jeremy, is confined to a wheelchair. Not wanting Jeremy to miss out on Halloween and trick or treating, he built a Ghostbusters costume to go around the wheelchair. He didn’t make it look cheap either, going so far as to install “…working headlights, siren lights, tail lights and speakers for Ghostbusters siren and theme music!” It was a heartwarming story that saw many label Ryan the “Father of the Year”.
It turns out that the story warmed the hearts of Ghost Corps., a division of Columbia Pictures that is tasked with expanding the Ghostbusters universe. The team there invited the Millers to their lot so that Jeremy could meet the real Ecto-1, the one that was used in the films! There’s video and photos of the encounter below.
I know that the Ghostbusters brand went through a lot of controversy over the past couple of years but this is a great story, no matter how you look at it.
