Two Familiar Faces Join the Stephen King Adaptation of ‘1922’

Netflix is all aboard their Stephen King train as they’ve added two new faces to their adaptation of the novella 1922, which follows the events after a man kills his wife. THR is reporting that Thomas Jane (The Punisher, The Mist) and Molly Parker (The 9th Life of Louis Drax, The Road) have joined the cast. They join Dylan Schmid, Kaitlyn Bernard, Brian D’Arcy James and Neal McDonough.

“I believe there is another man inside every man, a stranger…” writes Wilfred Leland James in ‘1922’. For James, that stranger is awakened when his wife Arlette proposes selling off the family homestead and moving to Omaha, setting in motion a gruesome train of murder and madness.

1922 is being directed by Zak Hilditch (These Final Hours), who also adapted the novella. Ross M. Dinerstein is producing.

Netflix is also currently having Mike Flanagan (Hush) direct an adaptation of Gerald’s Game.
