‘Office Uprising’ is About an Energy Drink That Turns You Into a Murderer. Seriously.

Brenton Thwaites (Gods of Egypt, Maleficent) will be starring in the action thriller Office Uprising, according to Variety. The film is being directed by Lin Oeding, a stunt veteran of 20 years who worked on such films as Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning and Amityville: The Awakening and has directed a few shorts as well as episodes for the TV shows “Chicago P.D.” and “Blood Drive”.

An underachiever working at a major weapons manufacturing firm finds that his co-workers have been “weaponized” by a new energy drink designed for the military. He must then set off to rescue his one true love from an office building full of psychotic coworkers armed with deadly tech.

The last we heard about this film, it was going to be directed by Steven C. Miller (Aggression Scale, Under the Bed, Submerged, Marauders) and was set to star Jane Levy (Evil Dead, Don’t Breathe). While the former has most certainly changed, there’s no word on the latter.

Variety reports that Oeding is directing from a script by Ian Shorr (“Splinter”) and Peter Gamble Robinson. The film is produced by Giulia Prenna, Jim Steele, and Sean Lydiard. Thwaites is an executive producer and Dan Spilo is a co-executive producer.
