Suddenly, it all seems so clear to me.
Released in 2004, the Alfonso Cuaron-directed Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was the third installment in the mega popular film series, primarily centered on convicted murderer Sirius Black and his pursuit of young Harry and his pals. A group of young friends battling evil forces, in other words. Sound familiar? One fan, with perhaps a bit too much free time on his hands, feels the film is awfully similar to The Monster Squad… and he’s got 24 specific reasons why.
YouTube user Couch Tomato has become known for his “24 Reasons Why” videos, which often compare two different movies that you’d probably never think to compare. Earlier this year, he suggested that A Nightmare on Elm Street: Dream Warriors and X-Men are essentially the same movie, and in his latest video, he highlights the parallels between Potter and Squad.
