Everything Descends Into Chaos in This Clip From ‘The Similars’ (Exclusive)
The sci-fi/thriller The Similars (aka Los Parecidos), which comes from XLrator Media, has been out for a week on VOD but it hits iTunes and digital platforms today. Therefore, we thought we’d give you a taste of what’s in store if you decide to give this Mexican mindfuck a chance. Below is an exclusive clip, which shows how disorienting and unsettling the film can feel.
On the rainy night of October 2, 1968, eight people waiting in a remote bus station for a bus heading to Mexico City start experiencing a strange phenomenon. Threatened by paranoia and fear, the strangers show the best and worst of themselves as they try to unravel the mysterious condition that is invading each of them like a virus.
Directed by Isaac Ezban and starring Gustavo Sánchez Parra, Cassandra Ciangherotti, Fernando Becerril, and Humberto Busto, The Similars comes out on iTunes and digital platforms today.

Adam O’Brien (Mom) directs from a script by John Petrizzi and Brad Hodson.
When nurse Julia finds herself trapped inside the home of her dementia patient, she begins to suspect things are not what they seem; something demonic is seeping through the cracks of this old home. Trapped and with nowhere to turn, Julia soon finds herself in battle to rid the house of this evil before it is too late.
Dawn Ford, Emmanuelle Lussier Martinez, Bill Rowat, and Mark Antony Krupa star.
“This film depicts the most harrowing 90 minutes of our protagonist’s life, and I felt that the most visceral way to really feel this was to do a single-shot film,” O’Brien previously teased. “We are with her every step and misstep she takes – through the unraveling of the mystery to the horror of her discovery. It’s a fun, twisty roller-coaster ride that puts a new spin on exorcisms.”
Bury the Devil is the first installment in a planned trilogy. The prequel, Bury the Devil: Origin, is already in development with O’Brien returning to the helm.
O’Brien produces along with Philip Kalin-Hajdu (The Sacrifice Game) and Benoit Beaulieu (Turbo Kid).
