5 Horror Movies to Burn Off Those Thanksgiving Calories!

Whoo boy, I’m STILL full after all that food yesterday! In fact, it’s got me feeling a bit sluggish and unmotivated. All those potatoes, vegetables, turkey, cranberry sauce… It all adds up! I know that I need to do something to get myself back on the right track of eating and feeling healthy, which is why I’m gonna turn to a few horror movies for inspiration!

Below I’ve got five horror films that will help inspire me to get up off the couch and burn off a fraction of the calories I put down yesterday. Check them out, see if you’re inspired to do the same, and maybe let me know a few that you think would be good for inspiration!

Jaws

Perhaps I can head on down to a swimming pool and do a few laps. Then again, I’ve always had that irrational fear that a shark is in the deep end, even if I couldn’t see it. I think we’ve all had that feeling at least once or twice ever since seeing Jaws, right? Even if that isn’t the case, there’s always glass shark to worry about.

Wrong Turn

If swimming isn’t your thing, what about a little bit of hiking and camping? Nothing beats going out into good ole’ nature, eschewing technology, and just breathing in all that fresh air! Well, the inbred hillbillies might beat you a little bit harder…

In the Mouth of Madness

Maybe venturing too far from your home isn’t all that appealing to you. Instead, why not hop on a bicycle and just pedal around the neighborhood a few times. Even 30 minutes is good for ya! Or, in the case of the below clip, eternity in some sort of purgatory state. Y’know, whatever floats your boat.

Friday the 13th

So you don’t like the idea of camping but you really want to enjoy some fresh air and go enjoy nature, right? Why not go to a camp and do some of their activities? You can canoe around the lake, swim, do some archery, avoid a masked killer, make some arts and crafts, climb some trees… I’m sorry, what middle part? Don’t know what you’re talking about.

The Descent

Something I’ve done only once but thoroughly enjoyed was spelunking. There’s something exhilarating about venturing into utter blackness with only a flashlight on your headband to stop the shadows from swallowing you whole. You simply venture forth, each step taking you further and further into the bowels of the earth. Let’s just hope you’re alone in there!
